Napping

Napping and shearing processes are used to achieve required surface effects such as defined tufts, high Velcro adhesion values or high-grade velours. Our machines are equipped for all warp- and weft-knitted fabrics and woven goods.

We increased our napping capacity with the high performance XETMA Twin system XR early in 2010. Read on for the performance data of modern napping machines.

XETMA Twin system XR

  • Patented special drum with the cleaning rolls and dust extraction arranged inside the drum
  • Maximum looping around the drums enables 2 x 20% higher napping performance compared to conventional machine systems and requires significantly less space.
  • Napping of warp- and weft-knitted fabrics and non-wovens with maximum performance
  • Saving of napping passes through optimal exploitation of the working rollers per pass
  • Different napping technologies possible per drum
  • Quality assured napping system (QRS®) for optimal fabric guidance during the entire processing
  • Even napping effect from the centre of the fabric web to the edge
  • Minimisation of the shrinkage effect through parallel processing of both fabric sides per drum
